Pratt Muller Skill Development Centre

The company Pratt Muller distributors limited was established in the year dtd.13/09/1990. The company Pratt Muller Distributors Limited was primarily started with an intention of carrying out trading and distribution activities only.

Around the year 2008 there was a major turnaround in the company’s activity wherein with the increasing demand from the Government sector the company went into manufacturing facilities with an intention of taking turnkey jobs on mass scale.

A major boost towards this activity came with the company joining hands with Hyderabad Industries Limited (a Charminar group belonging to G K Birla group) for prefabricated housing technology under the brand name “AEROCON” in the state of Gujarat. Being a new concept initially it was a difficult process for the acceptance of such a technology. But with the earthquake there was a major turnaround and this proved to be one of the fittest technology. There was a major trust in the year 2011-2012 in this sector for the company.

In the sector of prefabricate housing / structure technology, work for the following companies were successfully implemented. Letters for appreciation for the excellent work done has been given by most departments to the company for coming to their timely rescue. The names of companies are as follows:

For the purpose of catering to the defense sector the company has a very strong and committed Research and Development center in the factory (Naroda) itself wherein lots of items are being designed at the behest of the Army.

One of the items developed since last one year was the manufacture of Infra Red Resistant / Radar Reflecting Camouflage Nets. After hard work of over one year and with the able guidance of a team of scientist headed by Dr S R Dhruva the company finally succeeded in manufacturing such a net. The Army has welcomed it and a major development is an agreement signed between Pratt Muller Distributors Limited and DMSRDE (Defence Materials and Stores Research and Development Establishment) Kanpur. A technology transfer agreement was signed on 13th February 2003. This was the first agreement ever signed for this item between a private company and a defense research organization.

Since year 2011-12 the Company started major trading activity in tile business by having showrooms in Ahmedabad and Baroda. At present the company is the biggest distributors of Somani Tiles in India. Also in the building material side the company started selling various items like wooden floorings, bathroom fittings and other accessories for building décor.

In the year 2015, there was a major change and the company started activities in Skill India Project introduced by the Narendra Modi Government. Under the Company flagship, Pratt Muller Skill Development Centre was formed and it got major license from the various councils hereunder:-

• Plumbing Sector Skill Council of India (PSSC)
• Electronic Sector Skill Council of India(ESSCI)
• Green jobs Sector Skill Council of India (GSSCI)
• Iron and Steel Sector Skill Council of India (ISSSCI)

Also in collaboration with The Center for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) the company established labs in CNC and VMC machines, welding technology, CAD CAM technologies and Reliance Jio Training Center.

At present the Company is also going for Paramedical course in Skill India Project and is majorly interested in starting paramedical activities with its flagship Company.
